the darkness engulfs my identity
my cries
my sorrows
an eternity
the muffled sobs and ever flowing tears
soaked my pillows as desperation nears
i am so lost
so alone
so apart
the night is my witness, it breaks my
heart
the sleep too elusive, ebbs with the
tide
the shadows my comfort, stay by my
side.
